Search bills by what happened to them, not just what they say
USLege lets you filter bills by their history, such as amended in the last seven days or left pending in committee, and by the statute they change, who sponsors them, and which teammate owns them.

Keyword search cannot answer the questions you actually get asked
Which bills were amended this week? Which ones died in committee? Which ones touch a specific section of the code? Which ones does nobody on my team own? Those are questions about history, law, and people, and a keyword box answers none of them.
Filters that read like the question you actually have
Combine what happened, a window of time, a statute section, and your team's assignments in one search.
Illustration with an example search and fictional bills. The filters shown are the ones bill search supports.
Ask a question about the bills, not just the words
Choose the state and session
Search one state, several, or all of them, across the sessions you care about.
Add what happened or what it changes
Filter by what happened to a bill, where it is now, the statute it changes, or who sponsors it.
Save it to your workflow
Add the results to a track, assign a lead, or turn the search into a Radar rule.
Questions a keyword box cannot answer
Filters that match how the work actually goes
What happened to a bill
Referred, heard, voted out of committee, calendared, voted on the floor, amended, crossed over, in conference, sent to the governor, enacted, or died, inside a window you pick.
Where it is now
Introduced, in first committee, on the first floor, in second committee, on the second floor, with the governor, or became law.
Each state's own action wording
Every state words actions differently. Filter on a state's own labels, such as Left pending in committee, instead of guessing at them.
Bills that change a statute
Find every bill that adds, repeals, amends, or redesignates a specific section of law.
Sponsors, authors, and roles
Primary author, coauthor, cosponsor, and the roles each state uses, included or excluded.
Committees and policy areas
Include or exclude committees, and combine policy areas with any-of, all-of, or exclude logic.
Your team's workflow
Bills assigned to you, by lead or member, by tag or track, reviewed or not yet.
Citations that resolve
Type HB 5 88R, SB 599 89th Legislature, or Maine's LD 1036 and land on the exact bill.
Ask the question the way you would ask a colleague
Advanced bill search is part of USLege MCP, so the filters turn into a sentence.
