USLege at the 2026 ALEC Annual Meeting in Orlando

Recap of Stop 2 of the USLege Summer Tour: the ALEC Annual Meeting in Orlando, built around States 250 and the case that the next 250 years of policy run through the states.

Stop 2 of the USLege Summer Tour was the American Legislative Exchange Council Annual Meeting, held July 22 to 24, 2026 in Orlando, Florida.

States 250

ALEC built this year's meeting around States 250, and the framing matched how we think about our own work. The next 250 years of American policy run through the states, and the volume of consequential lawmaking happening at the state level keeps growing. Our booth leaned into it, celebrating 250 years of American minds and innovation with games, prizes, and a display built for the theme.

The Orlando experience

Between the sessions, the sloths, snakes, gators, and a little extra sunshine gave everyone the full Florida experience. The location, the people, and ALEC's deep connection to state policy work are what keep bringing us back.

What we heard on the floor

Legislators and staff kept returning to the same question: how do you keep up with what is moving in your own chamber, let alone in the other 49. That is a tooling problem more than an effort problem, and the teams we talked to were candid about how much of their tracking still happens manually. The conversations that started at the booth turned into real working discussions about what AI-equipped policy teams can already see.

Thank you to ALEC for another excellent meeting. If we missed you in Orlando, drop us a note and we will find time.
