Founder & Principal, Rossetti Government Relations
a tireless advocate for issues that matter
peers
Vincent "Vinny" Rossetti founded Rossetti Government Relations (RGR) in 2023, an Albany-based consulting firm that advises clients on funding, policy, and regulatory issues before state government. Rossetti built the firm around a simple philosophy: outwork the other side, communicate constantly, and become a genuine issue-area expert on every client matter. Peers describe him as a "tireless advocate for issues that matter" who is "kind and compassionate to work with," with "solid intuition on getting things done."
Before striking out on his own, Rossetti served as Director of State Government Relations for a top-30 lobbying firm, managing a portfolio of more than 20 clients and the day-to-day operations of its state practice. He began his career in the Assembly as Legislative Director to the Chair of the Insurance Committee, then moved to central staff in the State Senate, where he negotiated budget and policy matters across insurance, health, labor, aging, and cultural affairs.
That range shows up in RGR's client work today, spanning consumer protection, human services, health care and Medicaid, and services for people with developmental disabilities. Rossetti has helped secure millions of dollars in program and capital funding for community-based organizations serving low-income and marginalized New Yorkers, and has advanced policy with statewide reach — raising the age of arrest for children from seven to twelve, adding mental health benefits to the Child Health Plus Program, and strengthening consumer protections around debt and surveillance pricing. One nominator highlighted a bill he co-wrote nearly two years ago, A.7603-B/S.7978-A, which finally passed both houses this session despite a compressed post-budget calendar — "amazing," she called it, "despite having like four seconds of post-budget session this year." A graduate of The College of Saint Rose, Rossetti lives in North Greenbush with his wife, Kristen, and daughter, Charlotte.
