ALBANY, N.Y., Nov. 20, 2025 - Hearst Newspapers and USLege today launched Capitol Confidential Pro, Powered by USLege, a new platform that combines Capitol Confidential's statehouse political reporting with USLege's AI-powered legislative intelligence. The product brings together the Times Union's Capitol Confidential newsletter, a cornerstone of Hearst Newspapers' political coverage, with USLege's system for tracking, analyzing, and explaining policy activity in real time.
Capitol Confidential Pro is built for government affairs professionals, lawmakers, lobbyists, association leaders, corporate government relations teams, and law firms who need both trusted political journalism and legislative data in one place. Subscribers get Capitol Confidential's reporting inside the USLege platform, along with AI-powered state and local legislative tracking, executive branch monitoring, instant video transcripts of government meetings, AI-driven bill and hearing analysis, real-time alerts, live video search, and an integrated legislative CRM. The platform debuted in New York state and is set to expand to California in 2026.
