Ryan Brannan brings humor, clarity, and expertise to one of the most complex arenas in state government. As Founder and Principal of The Brannan Firm, he leads a results-oriented government affairs practice built on decades of experience navigating Texas’s legislative and regulatory landscape. Known for making complicated issues understandable. Ryan combines strategic insight with an approachable, good-natured style that has earned him respect across the Capitol community.

A three-time gubernatorial appointee, Ryan was appointed by both Governor Greg Abbott and Governor Rick Perry to serve as Commissioner of Workers’ Compensation, where he led a 600-person agency with a biennial budget exceeding $100 million. He previously served as Advisor to Governor Rick Perry in the Office of Budget, Planning and Policy and began his public policy career in the Washington, D.C. office of Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison.

In addition to his government service, Ryan is an attorney and former nonprofit co-founder whose work has been featured in publications including the Wall Street Journal, Texas Bar Journal, and Dallas Morning News.
