Caiti Anderson

While still early in her career, Caiti Anderson has become one of the most trusted voices in Albany's government affairs world. In January 2026, Harter Secrest & Emery promoted her to Senior Associate on its Government Affairs team. The timing tracked a session that tested even veteran advisors, as federal funding gaps and tariff shocks destabilized clients across the manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare sectors. Caiti became the steady hand many of them leaned on.

Her work this cycle spanned the full arc of the legislative process: reviewing thousands of newly introduced bills and hundreds of pages of budget language, drafting legislation and testimony, and briefing decisionmakers from the Legislature to the Governor's office. Her client roster reflects that range, from manufacturers like the NYS Brewers Association to transportation and financial trade groups such as the NYS Movers and Warehousemen's Association and the NYS Collectors Association, and healthcare and telecom clients including the American Nurses Association–NY, the Brain Injury Association of NYS, and the NYS Telecommunications Association. She organized or supported eleven client lobby days in Albany this year, and her session updates are a fixture for her clients. As one peer nominator put it, she is "trusted for her expertise and honesty, two of the most valuable forms of capital in Albany."

Beyond client work, Caiti serves on the boards of Empire Justice Center and Friends of Dyken Pond, chairs Empire Justice's External Affairs Committee, and serves as the Programming Chair for the ABA Business Law Section's Government Affairs Committee. She is a summa cum laude, Order of the Coif graduate of William & Mary Law School who is still early in a career that holds endless possibilities.
