AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 8, 2025 – USLege, an AI-powered legislative tracking platform, today announced it has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit with a clean report and achieved TX-RAMP Level 2 certification. The dual certification makes USLege the only legislative intelligence platform in Texas to meet both standards.

SOC 2, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is the industry standard for third-party audits of cloud-based software. TX-RAMP is the state of Texas's certification program for technology vendors handling data for state agencies. Level 2 covers vendors that handle confidential or regulated data in moderate- or high-impact systems, a bar built on the NIST 800-53 Moderate Impact Baseline.

Built for high-compliance environments

USLege said the certifications reflect work underway since the company's founding to build its platform for government affairs professionals, legal teams, and public agencies that require verified, audited security rather than self-reported claims.

"We built USLege to be the fastest and most secure legislative platform on the market," said Laura Davis, co-founder of USLege. "This certification affirms that security is not just a feature, it's foundational."

"Our customers rely on us to be always-on, always-secure, and never compromise data confidentiality," said Ben Brewer, co-founding CTO.

"We're not reacting to pressure - we're building for longevity in a zero-fail industry," said Eric Davis, CEO. "Independent validation now backs that trust."

For teams operating in high-compliance environments, USLege said, third-party verified security through SOC 2 and TX-RAMP is a baseline requirement rather than an optional feature when evaluating a legislative tracking vendor.
