# Ep 51: The End of Programming | Carter Hesterman

Podcast October 1, 2026

Welcome to Episode #51 of Bills & Business.

In this episode, Laura Davis, Co-Founder of USLege, sits down with Carter Hesterman, Head of Engineering & AI at USLege, to explore how artificial intelligence is changing engineering, creativity, and the way people solve problems.

Carter shares how Claude Code changed the direction of his career, why he believes the concept of programming will eventually disappear, and how a small engineering team can now accomplish what once required several teams.

Together, Laura and Carter discuss the skills people will need in an AI-driven workplace, how humanoid robots could reshape daily life and healthcare, and the security risks created when personal AI data is concentrated inside a few major companies.
