**GOV:** Humorist Kinky Friedman, himself a former independent candidate for the state’s highest office, endorsed Libertarian nominee Mark Tippetts. “They still try to screw the Libertarians and independents,” Friedman said in a statement. “Ironically, most Texans are Libertarians and independents.”

**LTGOV:** Harris County Judge Ed Emmett endorsed Democratic challenger Mike Collier over Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R).

**TLR House Endorsements:** The Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC [endorsed 110 House incumbents and candidates](https://web.archive.org/web/20240713023428/https://www.tlrpac.com/texas-house-endorsements/), including 13 Democrats. The group appeared to endorse every Republican incumbent except for Rep. Travis Clardy (R-Nacogdoches).

**HD34:** Texas Values Action endorsed Republican challenger Chris Hale over Rep. Abel Herrero (D-Corpus Christi).

**HD67:** The _Dallas Morning News_ endorsed Rep. Jeff Leach (R-Plano).

**HD106 open:** The _Dallas Morning News_ endorsed Democratic nominee Ramona Thompson.

**HD107:** The _Dallas Morning News_ endorsed Rep. Victoria Neave (D-Dallas).

**HD114 open:** The _Dallas Morning News_ endorsed Democratic nomiee John Turner.

**HD117:** The _San Antonio Express-News_ endorsed Rep. Philip Cortez (D-San Antonio).

**HD124:** The _San Antonio Express-News_ endorsed Rep. Ina Minjarez (D-San Antonio).

**HD129:** The _Houston Chronicle_ endorsed Rep. Dennis Paul (R-Webster).

**HD132:** The _Houston Chronicle_ endorsed Democratic challenger Gina Calanni over Rep. Mike Schofield (R-Katy).

**HD135:** The _Houston Chronicle_ endorsed Democratic challenger Jon Rosenthal over Rep. Gary Elkins (R-Houston).

**HD138:** The _Houston Chronicle_ endorsed Democratic challenger Adam Milasincic over Rep. Dwayne Bohac (R-Houston).

**Austin:** Retiring council member Ora Houston endorsed challenger Laura Morrison over Mayor Steve Adler.
