Caroline Bobick is Deputy Director of Governmental and External Relations for the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA), where she advocates on behalf of school boards and the students, educators, and communities they serve. Since joining NYSSBA in 2017, Bobick has become a respected voice for public education in both state and federal policy discussions, helping school board members translate their local experience into effective advocacy — earning a reputation, as one peer nominator put it, as someone who "very quickly becomes an informed and go-to voice on new and emerging issues."

In her current role, Bobick leads NYSSBA's federal advocacy efforts and represents the association in statewide coalitions and external partnerships. Her proudest achievement to date is leading the education community's advocacy toward achieving universal school meals in New York State, alongside ongoing work on early education, chronic absenteeism, and adequate school funding. Before joining NYSSBA, she served as an Excelsior Service Fellow on the education policy team in the New York State Governor's Executive Chamber, where she helped manage the Governor's Common Core Task Force and Heroin and Opioid Task Force and coordinated the Empire State Excellence in Teaching Program.

Bobick's path to Albany advocacy began in the classroom: earlier in her career, she taught English to speakers of other languages in Honduras, Turkey, and New York — an international, educator's perspective she still brings to her government relations work today. She holds a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University and a master's degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and speaks Spanish and Turkish fluently. Colleagues describe her as a dedicated advocate who "has made a meaningful impact in recent years on important issues including universal school meals, universal pre-K and more."
